Many Houston-area schools, particularly in low-income districts, lack the resources, mentorship, and family support needed to ensure student success. Churches have a unique opportunity to serve as community anchors, providing academic, emotional, and material support. The 2024 Kinder Institute Area Survey identified 8 local school districts that are heavily affected, those districts will be the focus for 2025.
